This morning, step into Vietnam’s complex and captivating history with a guided tour of Ho Chi Minh City, still fondly referred to as Saigon. Begin at the Independence Palace, an important symbol of the country’s reunification. Continue through the city’s French colonial past with visits to the elegant Notre Dame Cathedral, built entirely from materials imported from France, and the grand Central Post Office, renowned for its vaulted ceilings and intricate wrought-iron details.

A visit to the War Remnants Museum follows — a powerful and thought-provoking collection of photographs and artefacts documenting the Vietnam and Indochina wars, offering moving insight into the country’s past.

After lunch, return to the hotel for a short rest before tonight’s unforgettable experience.

EVENING: FOODIE TOUR BY VINTAGE VESPA (18:30–22:30)
As the sun sets, Saigon’s energy comes alive. Experience the city from the back of a vintage Vespa as we weave through buzzing alleyways and lively backstreets, stopping to sample some of Vietnam’s incredible street food along the way. A thrilling and flavour-filled evening awaits.

After breakfast, we journey to one of Vietnam’s most remarkable historical sites — the Cu Chi Tunnels. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours through the bustling outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City into the countryside.

On arrival, gain insight into the extraordinary underground network through a short documentary explaining how thousands of Vietnamese soldiers and civilians lived, fought, and survived during wartime. Explore sections of the tunnels and learn more about this fascinating chapter of Vietnam’s
history.

After lunch, continue toward the tranquil Mekong Delta, arriving in Tien Giang Province in the late afternoon.

Check into your peaceful riverside retreat surrounded by tropical gardens and winding waterways. As evening falls, relax at the riverside bar before enjoying a cooking demonstration showcasing local ingredients and traditional techniques, followed by dinner at the lodge restaurant.

After breakfast, set off on a scenic boat trip to the local market, where daily life unfolds along the waterways of the Mekong. Visit a Cao Dai temple and a coconut factory along the riverbanks before returning to shore.

Our vehicle awaits for the approximate 3 hour drive back to Saigon Airport for our domestic flight to Da Nang.

On arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your beachside accommodation in Hoi An — a charming town known for its lantern-lit streets, riverside beauty, and rich trading history.

In the afternoon, join our guide for a walking tour of Hoi An Ancient Town, including a stop at the famous 24-hour tailor and the Reaching Out Teahouse run by the Deaf. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An offers a glimpse into what Southeast Asia’s thriving trading ports looked like centuries ago. Wander through narrow lantern-lined lanes, bustling markets, historic merchant houses, and visit landmarks including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Temple, and Tan Ky Trading House.

This evening, enjoy a magical sunset dinner cruise along the Hoai and Thu Bon Rivers aboard a charming private riverboat. As dusk settles over the ancient town, savour a delicious Vietnamese dinner while gliding past lantern-lit riverbanks. Take part in a cherished local tradition by releasing a floating candle lantern onto the water.

Step into the fragrant heart of Hanoi for a cultural cooking experience set in a beautiful villa surrounded by ancient temples and lush gardens. Begin with a visit to a bustling local market to handpick fresh ingredients before learning not only the flavours of Vietnamese cuisine, but also the stories and traditions behind them.

In the afternoon, explore Hanoi’s cultural and historical highlights with your guide. Visit the serene Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, beautifully positioned on West Lake. Continue to Huu Tiep Lake, also known as B52 Lake, where the wreckage of a downed American bomber still remains. View the Ho Chi Minh Complex from the outside before enjoying a traditional cyclo ride weaving through Hanoi’s lively streets.

Hold on tight! Today we hop on the back of vintage Soviet-era Minsk motorbikes for an exhilarating ride through the real Hanoi. With experienced local drivers navigating the city, we weave through hidden alleyways, bustling backstreets, and lesser-known historical sites.

This is Hanoi up close — vibrant, authentic, and unforgettable. The experience ends with lunch at a hidden café gem, offering time to soak up the rhythm and atmosphere of the city. A wonderful immersion into the sights, sounds, and flavours of Vietnam’s capital.

Travel to Ha Long Bay (approximately 2.5 hours), first stopping at a pearl shop and then continue for an unforgettable overnight cruise through one of Vietnam’s most scenic landscapes.

Scattered across emerald waters are nearly 2,000 limestone islands and rocky islets, many untouched and uninhabited, creating the spectacular scenery that earned Ha Long Bay UNESCO World Heritage status.

Enjoy lunch and dinner onboard, featuring fresh local seafood and Vietnamese cuisine. Included activities may include kayaking, cave visits, or simply relaxing on deck as the boat glides through the bay. In the evening, try your hand at night fishing or simply soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

Begin the day with an early morning Tai Chi session on deck before visiting the Trung Trang Cave. Enjoy brunch onboard before we make our way back to the pier where our guide will meet us for the journey back to Hanoi.
