DAY 1

Welcome to Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Chào mừng – Welcome!

Arrive at Ho Chi Minh Airport (SGN). On arrival fast-track airport assistance. Meet your guide and driver. Private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening meet Mandy at the rooftop bar for a cocktail.

DAY 2

Saigon City Tour

This morning, step into Vietnam’s complex and captivating history with a guided city tour of Ho Chi Minh City (still fondly referred to as Saigon). Begin at the Independence Palace, a symbol of the country’s reunification. Continue your journey through time with a visit to iconic landmarks of French colonial heritage: the elegant Notre Dame Cathedral, constructed entirely of materials imported from France, and the grand Central Post Office, with its vaulted ceilings and intricate wrought-iron detailing.

A visit to the War Remnants Museum follows — a powerful and sobering collection of photographs and artifacts that chronicle both the Vietnam and Indochina wars, offering poignant insight into the country’s past.

After lunch, return to the hotel for a short rest before the evening’s unforgettable adventure.

EVENING: FOODIE TOUR BY VINTAGE VESPA (18:30–22:30)

As the sun sets, the energy of Saigon begins to rise — and there’s no better way to experience it than from the back of a vintage Vespa. Buckle up for a thrilling, flavour-packed night through the buzzing backstreets and alleyways of this ever-awake city.

DAY 3

Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta Experience - Overnight in Mekong Lodge

After breakfast, we set off on a journey to one of Vietnam’s most extraordinary historical sites — the Cu Chi Tunnels. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours through the bustling outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City into the countryside.

Upon arrival, you’ll begin with a short introduction and an insightful documentary explaining how this extensive underground network was built and how thousands of Vietnamese soldiers and civilians lived, fought, and survived under extreme wartime conditions. Explore the remaining sections of the tunnels. Before leaving, you’ll be invited to sample guerilla-era tea and cassava, the staple diet of those who once lived in the tunnels.

After lunch, continue your journey toward the tranquil Mekong Delta, arriving in Tien Giang Province in the late afternoon.

Check into your riverside retreat for the night surrounded by tropical gardens and flowing waterways. As evening falls, unwind at the Riverside Bar and enjoy a cooking demonstration showcasing local ingredients and techniques, followed by a delicious dinner at the on-site restaurant.

DAY 4

Mekong - Saigon - Da Nang - Hoi An

After breakfast we set off on a scenic boat trip to the Cai Be floating market, where you’ll witness daily life unfold along the waterways. Visit local workshops to see how traditional treats like handmade coconut candy and Vietnamese pop rice are crafted.

Next, hop into a small rowing boat and glide through the narrow canals of Tan Phong Island for approximately 30 minutes. Enjoy a peaceful stop at a lush garden home for a tasting of fresh tropical fruits, accompanied by live traditional Vietnamese folk music.

Return to the lodge mid-morning. After lunch we board a boat for our transfer to Cai Be Harbor, where our vehicle awaits for the drive back to Saigon airport for our domestic flight to Da Nang and transfer to Hoi An.

On arrival in Da Nang, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your local guide and transferred to your beach accommodation in Hoi An, a charming town known for its lantern-lit streets and riverside beauty.

DAY 5

Hoi An - Morning Free - Hoi An Ancient town & Dinner on the river cruise

Enjoy the morning on the beach.

In the afternoon we join our guide for a visit to Hoi An Ancient Town, with a stop at the 24 hour tailor and Reaching Out Teahouse. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers you a glimpse into what a Southeast Asian trade center looked like hundreds of years ago. Meander down narrow lanes framed by many old houses and see local people trading at the market, visit the famous Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, and Tan Ky Trading House.

Enjoy a magical sunset dinner cruise along Hoi An’s Hoai and Thu Bon Rivers aboard a charming private riverboat. As the sun dips below the horizon, take in the golden glow over the water while enjoying a delicious Vietnamese dinner at your table. Glide past the lantern-lit banks of the ancient town and take part in a cherished local tradition by releasing a floating candle lantern into the river.

DAY 6

Hoi An - Free day or optional tour

Enjoy the beach time. Optional tour: Ba Na hill & Golden bridge. Cost $120 pp (must have minimum 2 people).

Fly to Hanoi

Transfer to Da Nang airport to board your flight to Hanoi. On arrival meet our tour guide and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 8
Cooking with a master chef & Hanoi city tour

Begin your day with an immersive culinary experience alongside Chef Ai, a chef in the top 5 of Master Chef Vietnam in 2014. Visit a bustling local market with her as your guide, learning how to choose the freshest ingredients while soaking up the vibrant sights and sounds. Then, head to her welcoming private home for a hands-on cooking class, where you’ll prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes and enjoy the fruits of your labour over a relaxed lunch.

In the afternoon, your guide will meet you to begin exploring Hanoi’s rich cultural and historical highlights. Visit the serene Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest, beautifully set on West Lake. Then stop at Huu Tiep Lake, known as B52 Lake, where the wreckage of a downed American bomber remains. View the Ho Chi Minh Complex from the outside before heading to the famous Hanoi Train Street, a narrow alleyway where homes and cafes sit just inches from the active train tracks.

End the day with a charming cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, weaving through the 36 ancient guild streets to experience the city’s timeless character and everyday life.

DAY 9

Hanoi - Culture adventure by Vintage Minsk

Hold on tight! Today we hop on the back of a vintage Soviet-era Minsk motorbike for an exhilarating ride through the real Hanoi. With an experienced local driver at the helm, we weave through a maze of backstreets, hidden alleyways, and lesser-known historical sites. This is Hanoi up close – vibrant, raw, and unforgettable.

Our ride ends with a delicious lunch at a hidden gem of a café, offering a moment to pause and soak in the rhythm of the city. It’s a full immersion into the sights, sounds, and flavours of Vietnam’s bustling street life.

DAY 10

Hanoi - Halong Bay - overnight on cruise

Travel to Ha Long Bay (around 2:30 hrs drive). Embark on a 1-night cruise. Enjoy included activities and meals on the cruise. This world-famous bay is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Vietnam, with its giant rock islets covered in luxuriant vegetation overlooking the waters.

Ha long Bay includes some 1,900 islands and islets of rocky peaks, often uninhabited and unvisited. This scene creates a spectacular marine landscape, which earned it UNESCO World Heritage status in 1994.

You will be served lunch and dinner onboard with excellent and freshly caught seafood from the bay. At the end of the day, you will have the chance to enjoy a night fishing session on the boat.

Halong - Hanoi

Disembark after brunch and transfer back to Hanoi.
