ITINERARY

DAY 1

Victoria Falls

Your African adventure begins with a warm welcome at Victoria Falls Airport, followed by a seamless transfer to the elegant Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel. Nestled within a private game reserve, this 5-star retreat sets the tone for the days ahead – refined, serene, and deeply connected to nature.

In the late afternoon, gather with your host, Libby, for a relaxed welcome and orientation, sharing what to expect from your journey while soaking in the lodge’s beautiful surroundings.

As evening falls, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner, where conversation flows easily and the excitement of the adventure ahead begins to take shape.

DAY 2

Victoria Falls

Today you explore one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: the Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya – “The Smoke That Thunders.” Wander through lush rainforest pathways as the mist rises all around you, revealing breathtaking viewpoints of the crashing curtain of water. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at The Lookout Café, perched dramatically above the Batoka Gorge with sweeping views that make every bite unforgettable.

Later in the day, your African wildlife experience begins with a Rhino Drive, offering a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent animals from a respectful and protected distance.

Tonight enjoy sunset colours, drifting hippos and a perfectly prepared dinner as you glide to the sounds of the wild along the Zambezi river.

Optional experience: 15 mins helicopter ride (approx. $175 pp).

DAY 3 - 5

Hwange National Park

A short charter flight (45 mins) delivers you into the heart of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest and most wildlife-rich reserve. Here lies Somalisa Camp, your luxury haven for the next three nights – a signature experience known for its extraordinary elephant encounters and intimate safari atmosphere.

By day, venture out on expert-guided game drives, birding outings, and walking safaris that reveal Hwange’s incredible diversity. One of the camp’s highlights, the Elephant Pool, invites unforgettable close-up viewing as these gentle giants drink, splash, and interact – often just metres away.

Throughout your stay, enjoy the camp’s beautifully designed spaces – the pool with views over the plains, the atmospheric firepit, the bar, and the calm lounge area. The luxurious tented suites blend copper bathtubs, wood-burning fireplaces, king beds, private decks, and both indoor and outdoor showers.

Departure
