TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour is designed to immerse you in the country’s rich culture, warm hospitality, and unforgettable experiences.
We’ll wander through a flower market as Delhi awakens, share a home-cooked meal with a local family, savour regional cuisine, learn the centuries-old art of block printing and meet rescued elephants at an ethical sanctuary. We’ll search for Bengal tigers on safari, cruise the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola, browse colourful bazaars and artisan boutiques, and discover India’s incredible creativity through its textiles, jewellery, and local craftsmanship.
Of course, we’ll also experience India’s iconic treasures, including the Taj Mahal at sunrise, the majestic Amer Fort (also known as Amber Fort), Udaipur’s magnificent City Palace, and the vibrant energy of Mumbai.

ITINERARY
DAY 1
Welcome to India
Welcome to Delhi, India’s vibrant capital, where ancient history and modern life blend in a fascinating tapestry of culture, colour, and energy. Free time.
This evening, we visit Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, one of the most important Sikh temples in India. Its gleaming golden dome, tranquil sacred pool, and warm atmosphere offer a wonderful introduction to India’s rich spiritual heritage. Here you’ll witness the remarkable tradition of langar, the community kitchen where thousands of people, regardless of religion or background, are served a free meal every day.

DAY 2
Discover the Heart of Old Delhi
An early start (around 6:00 am) takes us into the heart of Old Delhi while the city is just beginning to awaken. We visit the vibrant Fatehpuri Flower Market as traders prepare for the day ahead.
From here, we wander through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s oldest and most fascinating markets. Whether on foot or by traditional cycle rickshaw (depending on traffic and crowd conditions), soak up the sights, sounds, and aromas of this historic bazaar, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday life in Old Delhi.
We then stop for photographs at the magnificent Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest and most impressive mosques, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and enduring symbol of the Mughal Empire. After breakfast at a Heritage Haveli, we visit Asia’s largest wholesale spice market.
Enroute to Khan Market, we drive past the iconic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Lunch is at your own expense near the fashionable Khan Market, one of Delhi’s premier shopping districts. Enjoy some free time for shopping.
This evening, experience the warmth of Indian hospitality as we are welcomed into the home of a local family. Together we’ll prepare a traditional meal, share stories, and enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner.

DAY 3
Delhi to Agra
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and depart for Agra, a comfortable drive of approximately 3 hrs.
On arrival, we’ll check in to our hotel before enjoying a memorable lunch at a charming boutique property renowned for celebrating the rich culinary traditions of the region.
Here we’ll savour the signature “Pattal Ki Dawat”, a thoughtfully curated thali showcasing the authentic flavours of Agra and the Braj region. Served on traditional eco-friendly leaf plates and bowls, it offers a delicious introduction to the area’s culinary heritage.
This afternoon, we experience the Mughal Heritage Walk, an engaging journey through the lesser-known streets and monuments of Agra.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll enjoy drinks at the iconic The Oberoi Amarvilas, where, weather permitting, we’ll be treated to one of the most spectacular views of the Taj Mahal, a magical way to end our first day in Agra.

DAY 4
Agra to Ranthambore
Rise early to witness one of the world’s most unforgettable sights, the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is every bit as breathtaking as its reputation suggests.
We return to the hotel for breakfast.
Check out and journey to Ranthambore National Park, a drive of approximately 5.5 hrs. Enroute we stop for lunch.
Nestled between the rugged Aravalli and Vindhya Hills, Ranthambore, once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas, is among the best places in the country to spot the elusive Bengal tiger.
On arrival, we’ll check in to our hotel and relax. Optional: Book spa treatments for following
day.

DAY 5
The Kingdom of Tigers
Early morning, join a shared Jeep safari through Ranthambore National Park with an escorted naturalist. (06:00 – 09:30)
After breakfast (approx. 11:30), visit Dhonk, an initiative that provides sustainable employment and training for families of former poachers while helping to protect the park’s wildlife.
Following lunch, set off on another shared jeep safari accompanied by an experienced naturalist in search of Bengal tiger.

DAY 6
Ranthambore to Jaipur
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and journey to Jaipur, stopping enroute in Sanganer, a town renowned for its centuries-old tradition of hand block printing.
Here we’ll step inside a working block-printing studio to discover the fascinating process behind this beautiful craft. Guided by master artisans, we’ll learn about the carved wooden blocks, natural dyes, and traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations. We’ll also explore an impressive collection of antique printing blocks from across India before trying our hand at creating our own design. As a special keepsake, you’ll print your very own scarf to take home.
After this memorable experience, we continue the short drive to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s enchanting Pink City.
In the late afternoon, we’ll explore Jaipur’s vibrant markets and elegant boutiques, renowned for their colourful textiles, handcrafted treasures, and contemporary Indian fashion. Those who wish can have henna applied to their hands, a tradition that symbolises joy and good fortune.
We’ll also visit the elegant Narain Niwas Palace, home to the charming Kanota Courtyard, where a collection of artisan boutiques offers handcrafted jewellery, textiles, homeware, and heritage-inspired designs in a tranquil palace setting.
End your evening in the same complex and experience one of Jaipur’s most stylish dining venues, an optional dinner or cocktails at the iconic Bar Palladio. Famed for its striking blue interiors, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional cuisine, it offers the perfect setting to end a day in the Pink City.

DAY 7
Art, History & the Charm of Jaipur
After breakfast, we visit the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Rajasthan’s most spectacular landmarks. Perched high on a hillside, the fort is a masterpiece of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Accompanied by an expert guide, we’ll discover its grand courtyards, ornate palaces, intricate carvings, and fascinating royal history.
From here, we continue to Dera Amer for a heartwarming elephant experience and a leisurely lunch in a beautiful natural setting. Dera Amer is a sanctuary dedicated to the ethical care of rescued elephants.
After lunch, we’ll experience Jaipur from a different perspective aboard its iconic bright pink e-rickshaws, driven exclusively by local women. This inspiring initiative supports female empowerment while offering a fun and unique way to explore the city’s colourful streets. Our ride takes us to the magnificent City Palace, the royal residence of Jaipur’s Maharajas. With its elegant courtyards, beautifully decorated gateways, and remarkable blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the palace remains a living symbol of Rajasthan’s royal heritage.
Later this afternoon, we’ll visit Jaipur’s luxury designers and their showrooms.
This evening is at leisure, allowing you to relax at the hotel or enjoy another evening discovering the vibrant atmosphere of the Pink City.

DAY 8
Jaipur to Udaipur
Early morning we transfer to Jaipur Airport for our flight to Udaipur (1 hr), Rajasthan’s enchanting City of Lakes. (Flights instead of a 7 hr drive).
On arrival, we’ll be met and transferred to our hotel. (Early check-in is subject to availability.) After enjoying breakfast, we set out to discover one of India’s most romantic and beautiful cities. Free time.
This afternoon, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, an ornate garden complex known for its fountains followed by a leisurely boat ride on Lake Pichola, passing the magnificent island palaces of Jag Niwas (now the world-famous Taj Lake Palace) and Jag Mandir. Surrounded by rolling hills, grand palaces, and centuries of history, this relaxing cruise offers some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Rajasthan and is the perfect introduction to the timeless beauty of Udaipur.

DAY 9
Udaipur
After breakfast, our guided tour begins at the magnificent City Palace, an extraordinary complex of palaces overlooking the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola. Subject to availability, we hope to enjoy the unique privilege of meeting a member of Udaipur’s royal family, an unforgettable opportunity to gain a personal insight into the living heritage of the Mewar dynasty.
Post lunch, explore the city’s colourful markets, renowned for their traditional craftsmanship and artistic heritage. At Bada Bazaar, discover exquisite Rajasthani miniature and Pichwai paintings, vibrant Bandhani and Leheriya textiles, handcrafted silver jewellery, and unique souvenirs. Afternoon free.
Optional: Dinner can be arranged on a rooftop restaurant overlooking the lake.

DAY 10
Undaipur to Mumbai
Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring Udaipur at a leisurely pace. Morning free.
After lunch, we transfer to the airport for our evening flight to Mumbai. (1.5hrs) India’s financial and entertainment capital offers a striking contrast to the royal cities of Rajasthan. Dynamic, cosmopolitan, and full of character, Mumbai blends colonial architecture, bustling markets, glamorous neighbourhoods, and everyday street life into one unforgettable destination.

DAY 11
Exploring Mumbai
This morning, we will visit the iconic Gateway of India, a world-famous monument overlooking the Arabian Sea and a proud symbol of Mumbai’s colonial legacy. From here, we’ll take a scenic drive past some of the city’s most prominent colonial-era landmarks, including the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) and several other architectural marvels that showcase Mumbai’s rich heritage. If you are interested we can drive past the houses of famous Bollywood actors.
We’ll then continue to explore Mumbai’s cultural and design-centric neighbourhoods. Stops at private designer studio for handcrafted jewellery, and the vibrant Kala Ghoda district, home to boutique galleries, fashion-forward stores, and contemporary Indian design.
A perfect ending to your stay. Dress up (smart/casual) and experience high tea at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace hotel (for your own account). Perhaps continue with cocktails after.
In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12
Departure
Enjoy a final leisurely morning before transferring to the airport for your flight home, stop for lunch at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace (optional), taking with you unforgettable memories of India’s magnificent palaces, colourful cities, extraordinary wildlife, and warm hospitality.
