Vietnam 2026 Tour Recap

Mar 26, 2026

What a journey this was.

We travelled at a time of global uncertainty, yet thankfully our routing allowed everything to continue as planned and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be something special.

I can honestly say… I have never laughed as much on a tour as I did on this one.

Ho Chi Minh City | Cocktails, Culture & Vespas

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to warm, humid air and that immediate sense of stepping into somewhere completely different. After time to rest and recover from the long journey, our first evening took us to the iconic Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar at the Caravelle Hotel – cocktails in hand, overlooking the buzz of the city below. The perfect introduction.

The following day, we began exploring with our wonderful guide, who affectionately called us “My Fam” and that feeling of togetherness stayed with us throughout the journey. That evening, we experienced one of the highlights – a Vespa food tour through the city. Whizzing through the traffic like locals, stopping at hidden gems – from rooftop bars with 1960s music to tucked-away seafood spots and tiny alleyway eateries. As our guide said: “Don’t be afraid of alleys… this is where you find the gems.”

Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta | Perspective & Peace

The visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels was a powerful and humbling experience. A few of the ladies bravely entered the tunnels navigating the darkness on bent knees. It’s hard to comprehend how people lived there. A deeply moving reminder of human resilience.

From there, we travelled to the peaceful waterways of the Mekong Delta, where the pace softened completely. Our overnight stay along the river brought a sense of calm after a full and emotional day.

Hoi An | Lanterns, Laughter & Little Luxuries

Hoi An is always magical – especially in the evening, when lanterns glow along the riverside. We enjoyed a beautiful riverboat dinner, drifting gently along as the town lit up around us. The following day brought a slower pace. Some of the ladies immersed themselves in a lantern-making workshop, cycling through the countryside and visiting a local farm.

And then… one of the unexpected highlights – the Vietnamese hair wash experience. What I thought would be a quick treatment turned into 50 minutes of pure bliss – layers of washing, massage, and relaxation. A small moment that became a firm favourite.

Hanoi | Energy, Flavour & Discovery

Hanoi greets you with energy the moment you arrive.

Vibrant, bustling, and full of life – we spent our time exploring on foot, discovering coffee shops, sampling street food, and enjoying a little retail therapy along the way. One of the standout experiences was the Minsk motorbike tour – weaving through alleyways and uncovering a more authentic side of the city. Our young drivers were an absolute delight, so passionate about sharing their Hanoi with us.

Another highlight was our market visit with a local chef, followed by a cooking class in her home – a truly special, authentic experience, and an incredible feast to enjoy together.

Ha Long Bay | Beauty &  A Touch Of Humour

Our journey to Ha Long Bay included a fascinating stop to learn about pearl farming and, of course, a little shopping.

The cruise itself was simply beautiful. A gentle rowing boat excursion to explore the caves turned unexpectedly funny when we lightly bumped into another boat… followed by a spirited exchange between the rowers, while we sat laughing, unsure who was at fault.

Moments like these are often the ones you remember most.

A Journey To Remember

We ended where we began – back in Hanoi – with one final rooftop cocktail, toasting what had been an unforgettable journey. A group of wonderful women, so much laughter, shared experiences, and conversations already turning to “Where to next?”
