TOUR DESCRIPTION

Most tours in Croatia are cruises around the islands spending nights on a boat. On this tour, we stay in 3* and 4* hotels each night and head out most days by catamaran or ferry or speedboat to our next stunning destination.

  • We start in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, before making our way via the Plitvice Lakes, to the Coast.
  • You cannot miss a visit to the Plitvice Lakes which comprises of 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls!
  • Nor a day’s visit to the Blue Cave from Hvar Island.
  • We explore at leisure the medieval towns and
  • We attend a cookery class with a Chef in Split. Of course, lunch would not be complete without trying Croatian wines.

DAY 1 - 20.9.2023

ZAGREB

Overnight at a hotel in Zagreb city centre. Meet your companions on tour at a welcome dinner in one of the city centre restaurants.
Dinner and YOUR OWN ROOM FOR THE FIRST NIGHT.

DAY 2 - 21.9.2023

ZAGREB – PRIVATE GUIDED CITY WALKING – PLITVICE LAKES

We join our guide for a walking tour and explore Zagreb with its mixture of medieval towers, 19 th century palaces, open air markets and ancient cathedrals. You will hear about city legends and witches. In the afternoon we travel to the Plitvice Lakes, one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Europe.

DAY 3 - 22.9.2023

PLITVICE LAKES – SPLIT

Today we head to the Coast to Split, which is a pretty historical coastal city known for its well preserved Roman architecture, the Diocletian’s Palace and vibrant nightlife. Time to explore on your own.

DAY 4 - 23.9.2023

SPLIT – MORNING COOKING CLASS

Cooking Class in the morning! We start at 09:00 visiting the fresh food markets before walking to our cooking class where we cook with a famous Chef to prepare a delicious lunch that will be accompanied by Croatian wines. Afternoon leisure time.

DAY 5 - 24.9.2023

SPLIT - HVAR ISLAND

This morning we take the catamaran/ferry to Hvar Island. Free time to enjoy Hvar at your own leisure. Hvar Island is known for its crystal clear waters, stunning beaches and historic landmarks such as the Hvar Fortress and the Franciscan Monastery.

DAY 6 - 25.9.2023

HVAR - VIS AND BLUE CAVE EXCURSION

We spend the day visiting the famous Blue Cave, Vis and Pakleni Islands in a speed boat. The Blue Cave became known as such because of the iridescent blue glow effect of its water and the water’s reflection on the cave’s walls. Pack a few essentials such as a hat, sunscreen, beach towel, and some good energy to make the most of your day! Return to Hvar in the evening. Free time.

DAY 7 - 26.9.2023

HVAR - Korčula - DUBROVNIK

Today we take a catamaran to Korčula where we spend the day. The medieval Korčula Town is widely recognised as being the birthplace of the world explorer Marco Polo. The town has meandering cobblestone streets, cute little shops, and many cafes, bars and restaurants. A walk to the top of the hill will reward you with fabulous scenic views over the Old Town and out to sea. Explore at leisure. Later in the day we take a private transfer to Dubrovnik with a ferry to the Pelješac peninsula.

DAY 8 - 27.9.2023

DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, is a stunning medieval walled city located on the Adriatic coast that became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and known for its well-preserved Old Town, Gothic and Renaissance buildings and scenic views. Some of the scenes in the Game of Thrones were also filmed there. After breakfast we join our guide for a walking tour of the Dubrovnik Old Town. Although it was severely damaged in an earthquake in 1667, Dubrovnik managed to preserve its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces, and fountains.

DAY 9 - 28.9.2023

DUBROVNIK - DEPARTURE

After breakfast we say goodbye to Croatia and airport transfer to Dubrovnik airport.
