DAY 1

Welcome to Cape Town

Sawubona! A Zulu tribe greeting meaning I see you, you are important to me and I value you.

As your plane descends towards Cape Town International Airport, you’ll be treated to stunning aerial views of the city and Table Mountain dominates the skyline. The V&A Waterfront is home for the next few days. A hub of activity, with shops, restaurants, and street performers. In the evening join your tour leader for a briefing and welcome dinner with an African flavour and show.

DAY 2

Constantia Valley and Table Mountain

Take a guided wine tasting walk through the Constantia Valley where lush vineyards meet historic elegance. This picturesque route, the oldest wine-producing region in South Africa, weaves through rolling hills and centuries-old estates with charming Cape Dutch architecture.

Our final stop for the day, Table Mountain, our iconic flat topped mountain that looms majestically over Cape Town. This natural wonder is not only a geological marvel, but also a symbol of the city itself. We ascend its summit via cable car offering breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Town, the surrounding coastline, and the ocean beyond. The mountain’s unique flora and fauna add to its allure. Fantastic photo opportunity.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Let this afternoon of luxury and indulgence be a celebration of all things radiant and resplendent. Immerse yourself in the world of diamonds, sip champagne, and explore the possibilities that await you in this captivating showroom.

DAY 3

Cape Point

Cape Point is a captivating natural landmark located at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula. It marks the point where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converge. As you leave the city behind, you’ll follow the winding coastal road, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the rugged cliffs on the other. Along the way, you’ll pass through charming coastal towns.

We stop for lunch at the Two Oceans restaurant at Cape Point. The restaurant occupies an enviable position above False Bay at the southwestern tip of Africa, fine dining with world renowned views.

DAY 4

Franschhoek

We leave Cape Town and head off to the winelands where you will pass through picturesque vineyards and charming towns like Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

Tucked away in the Cape Winelands, Franschhoek is known as the Cape’s food and wine capital. Galleries and antique shops fill the tree lined main road and vineyards established more than 300 years ago cascade over the hills just outside town. The Huguenot Memorial Museum honours the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries. Explore the village at leisure followed by lunch at a wine estate, hosted by a Chef, to taste authentic South African dishes and learn more about the food heritage while sharing the meal.

Our accommodation, a beautiful Manor House overlooking sprawling vines on a working farm surrounded by dramatic mountain vistas, dipping valleys and an abundance of fynbos.

DAY 5

Stellenbosch

Spend the day at leisure exploring your surroundings, unwind at the pool or spa treatment or take a walk. Later taste some of the wines from this region.

DAY 6

Klein Karoo

Change of scenery. We depart for a luxury private game reserve set in the Klein Karoo on the slopes of the majestic Langeberg Mountain range. Misha, the terrier, gives everyone a warm welcome on arrival at the luxury lodge. While on a game drive you might spot lion, giraffe, elephants and rhinos.

DAY 7

Gansbaai

Early morning game drive before we depart. “Luxury in harmony with Nature” is how our next stay over is described. Immerse yourself in the unique fynbos kingdom and ancient forest of this five star eco paradise with breathtaking views of the ocean and fynbos surrounding you. There is something for everyone – a guided nature walk, a botanical tour, bird watching, fat biking or relax at the spa.

DAY 8
Gansbaai

Another day to enjoy the fragrant smell of fynbos in the air and let your surroundings do its magic. Depart on a Botanical 4×4 safari and visit the Botanical Art Gallery.

DAY 9

Cape Town

We head back to Cape Town, stopping for lunch at a wine estate with ocean views. After lunch, we visit the penguin colony where you can observe the penguins in their natural habitat.

Our final stop, Camps Bay, a glamorous coastal suburb located in Cape Town, with its trendy cafés and cocktail bars, nestled between the rugged Twelve Apostles mountain range and the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. We stay at a boutique hotel with magnificent views sweeping from the top of Table Mountain and The Twelve Apostles range that disappear into the sea.

Cape Town

Leisure day to relax by the pool or shop for those last minute mementos.

Enjoy cocktails watching the sun set over the Atlantic ocean.

Your airport transfer awaits you. As Winnie the Pooh says “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”.

This is when the first rains fall, and days are often chilly enough for a light jersey/sweater.
Temperatures in May are between 13°C (55°F) and 22°c (72°F).

August – wild flower and whale watching season
It can be cold with rain, but we can have some glorious winter days with sunshine and blue skies.
The average temperature is 18° during the day, dropping at night.

March, April and November, in particular, often have warm, sunny days, and little rain, suitable for swimming.
